Organizado pelo Laboratório de Música e Comunicação na Infância (LAMCI) do Centro de Estudos de Sociologia e Estética Musical (CESEM) da FCSH, o II Encontro Internacional Arte para a Infância e Desenvolvimento Humano teve lugar na Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian no passado dia 22 de Setembro. Integrado nos objectivos do projecto, este encontro teve um formato original já que os participantes puderam assistir, através de circuito interno de vídeo, à apresentação de várias peças músico-teatrais para Pais e bebés. Os debates ajudaram a promover a ideia da importância da participação e fruição artística na infância a partir dessa base de observação em tempo real.

Organized by the Laboratory of Music and
Communication in Infancy (LAMCI) of the Sociology and Musical Aesthetics
Research Centre (CESEM) at FCSH, the 2nd International Colloquium Arts for Childhood and Human Development was held in the Calouste Gulbenkian
Foundation on the 22nd September. As part of the stated objectives
for the project, this colloquium had an original format given that the
participants could witness, using the closed-circuit television, the
presentation of various pieces of musical-theatre for Parents and babies. The
debates helped to support the idea that artistic participation and fulfilment
in childhood is important by drawing on real-time observation.
